We are opposite the Birmingham Town Hall next to Snobs nightclub and just across from Broad Street.

Recommended in both the local and the national press, Athens is an international restaurant offering both typically Greek food and a cosmopolitan menu.

Athens is a licensed restaurant with a full entertainment licence, and entertainment is the name of the game. The excellent food is only part of the story. The live music starts at 8.30pm with Greek table music for your enjoyment, and then at 10pm the belly dancer takes the floor, visiting each table in turn and encouraging lots of audience participation.

So you don't just have a meal at Athens, you can also have a full workout! And don't worry if you've never tried belly dancing before - no excuses, you will be given full instruction! Following on, diners can settle down again to enjoy a traditional Greek floorshow with three dancers who perform in the original, classic style, gradually encouraging everyone to join in.For the experts, the Greek dances you can enjoy include the Hasapiko and Zabekiko, which are carried out both on and around the tables, finishing with the sertaki where diners dance side by side with the dancers.

After your meal you can then take your table and guests outside where everyone is given a plate to smash in traditional Greek style.

At 11.20pm the disco with our top DJ comes on with hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s etc - in other words something for all tastes.

A night at Athens goes on until the early hours of the morning -and those hours just fly by.
